P-36CampCazes.jpg (110459 bytes) An F4F-4 (1/72, Academy) of VF-41 with a Hawk 75 (1/72 Monogram) of GC II/5 near Casablanca, Nov. 8, 1942. Possibly Operation Torch is the only time US-built aircraft fought each other on opposing sides during WWII - though maybe Finnish Brewsters fought P-39s, P-40s or A-20s. Dewoitine D-520s fought in the same engagement with the Curtisses, but the Wildcats handled them both capably.
